"You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us."  ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Kaizen (2001-2008)

Stonecroft's Embraceable You, RE (AKC Rally) NA NAJ NFP OAP OJP (AKC Agility) OAC NJC TG-N WV-N NCC TN-N (Novice Versatility - NADAC) PJ1 (USDAA) RL1(APDT Rally O) (CGC & Delta Society Pet Partner)

Kaizen changed Janet's life by connecting her with a new set of friends, a new career and lifelong love of dog training, the world of therapy work, and teaching her to live in the moment as only our dogs can do. Janet & Kai were registered with Delta Society's Pet Partners Program and visited many sites in the central Virginia area. In addition, with HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response (www.hopeaacr.org), they responded with emotional support when needed in man-made and environmental disasters. Kai earned multiple titles in Rally and agility, and worked frequently as a model for Premier Pet Products, as a demo dog for Janet's classes, and as good-will ambassador for his breed wherever he went. He will be greatly missed.

Piper

Clark's Piping Plover RN (AKC Rally) RL1(APDT Rally O)(CGC & Delta Society Pet Partner)

In addition to competing in agility and Rally, Piper also works as a model and toy tester for Premier Pet Products, and as a demo dog for Janet's classes. Piper won the XTerra K9 Challenge held in Richmond on June 14, 2008 with a time of 18.3 seconds. She had great fun! Click here to read more.

Keiko

Dragonfly Ranch's Firefly Girl RL1 (APDT Rally O)

Keiko came to Janet from the Richmond SPCA. She's currently dabbling in agility and won the 48-Weave Pole Relay Challenge (small dog category) at a local NADAC trial. She earned her first title, in APDT Rally O, in one exciting weekend in June, and has since added two Qs toward her championship title. She also models and tests for Premier.

Teddy

Dragonfly Ranch's Love Bears All Things (Canine Good Citizen)

Teddy came to us as a foster from the Richmond SPCA. He was 140 pounds and came with a myriad of medical challanges. We took him in only intending to help him lose weight prior to going up for adoption. Teddy had other ideas. While he could never replace our recently-departed Kaizen, Teddy has worked hard to help us heal and recover from that loss. Currently much healthier and just under 98 pounds, we are working on obedience skills and discovering what Teddy's "work" may be. Since he's been amazingly therapeutic for us, we think we might have some ideas...

PS - Teddy passed his Canine Good Citizen evaluation after only 6 weeks with us. We're so proud!
